This wonderful old map of an Arabic language World Map was originally published in 1525. It was created by Piri Reis.
A very detailed oval map that shows the world with Arabic script shows the whole world as it was viewed almost 500 years ago. Most countries are shaped accurately; however, Antarctica, the East Indies and West Indies are not so well documented as of yet.
This map looks great at all sizes: 18x11in (45x27cm), 24x13 inches (60x33cm), 36x20 inches (90x50cm), 40x22 inches (100x55cm), 50x27 inches (125x70cm), 60x32 inches (152.5x81.5cm) and 70x38 inches (178x96.5cm), but it looks even better when printed large.
I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 70in (178cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
The model in the listing images is holding the 24x36in (61x91.5cm) version of this map.
The fifth listing image shows an example of my map personalisation service.
Please note the unframed 18x11in (45x27cm), 24x13 inches (60x33cm) and 36x20 inches (90x50cm) map has white edges around the map. These edges can help you with framing, or if you don’t need them they are very easy to snip off with scissors. All other maps, including the framed maps, look exactly like the listing images.
If you’re looking for something slightly different, another option would be this amazing map of an Arabic language World Map by Hafiz Ali Esref in 1893.
The locations on this map include: North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Antartica, Asia and Oceania.

This would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, work leaving or housewarming gift for someone interested in an Arabic language World Map or someone who loves to travel around the world.
This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
